What does Direct Vent or Room sealed mean?
The Bosch 2700ES Hot Water Heater can be installed in a small space
with the ability to take in air from the outside via a 3 inch intake vent.
The Bosch AquaStar 2700ES can be vented vertically or horizontally to the
outside. The Bosch 2700 ES Tankless Water Heater requires a dedicated 3" stainless steel
single wall vent pipe. Other vent types will void the warranty and present a health
hazard. The AquaStar 2700 ES also requires an electrical connection for the electronic
ignition.
